With profound love and gratitude for a life so well lived, we sadly announce Andy’s passing on October 20, 2020 at the age of 64.
Andy slipped away peacefully, at home hand in hand with Donna-Fay by his side, during their morning chat over coffee.
Andy’s journey with cancer was fought head on, like all he encountered in life.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 42 years Donna-Fay, son Justin and his wife Carmène, daughter Jolene Wanchuk and her husband Dan, adored grandchildren Brooke, Jayden and Mattéa Jubinville, Isabella and Anna Wanchuk, who affectionately called him Pops. Many hours were spent in his Happy Place camping at the acreage smiling as his grandchildren ran and played, watching the birds and enjoying a roaring fire pit. His family was everything to him. He was a kind, strong yet gentle supportive man that gave his heart, soul and love openly to all.
Andy was predeceased by his parents: Arthur & Marie; brothers: Leonard, Laurent, sisters: Gisèle, and Valérie Jubinville-Dick.
Andy leaves behind his siblings Diane (George) Tellier, Leonard (Gisèle), Norman (Irene), Donald (Leah Mendoza), Victor, Murielle (Victor) Sadlowski, Marc (Carmen), Colette; sister-in-law Pierrette, brother-in-law: Ron Dick.
Heartbroken nieces and nephews are grateful for the immense impact he made in their lives and vow to ensure “his legend” lives on. Sister and brother in laws are thankful for the love and devotion he shared with their sister Donna-Fay.
Andy leaves behind numerous friends, too many to mention but each and every one meant so much to him. They shared his love for auctioneering, cards, golf and rodeo.
We want to thank our family, friends, the doctors, nurses and therapists who helped Andy’s stay at home possible.
We wish we could celebrate Andy’s life with all our friends and family but your health and safety would have been important to him, so for now, please take a moment to remember Andy in your own special way.
However, so it can be done up in true Andy style, with reminiscing, singing, music, dancing and a few drinks, a campfire gathering at a later date to celebrate Andy’s life will be planned.
Should you desire, donations can be made to Haying in the 30s Cancer Support Society – Box 35 Mallaig, AB T0A 2K0 or the Stollery Children’s hospital.
