KRUCIK, Kenneth

It is with profound loss that the family of Ken Krucik shares his passing on March 18, 2023 at the age of 82 years young.

Ken had a remarkable life; his happy place was his farm where he enjoyed living and working. Some of his favorite activities were “piddling around,” which translated to fixing things that no one else could fix, maintaining his plane and airstrip, tending to his garden and coffee chats with his many friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved going for drives, looking for wildlife and admiring the land. He always carried his camera with him to capture his “magic moments.” His mechanical skills were legendary as he was known for his expertise long after his retirement.

It was truly the simple things in life that brought Ken pure joy; his farm, flying, cherished family (especially his grandchildren) and long-lasting friendships. Ken didn’t use words to express love, but everyone who knew him, experienced his love through his acts of kindness and abundantly giving nature. His sense of humor and presence could always bring laughter and amazing memories that will now be held close in the hearts of many.

Ken is survived by his daughter, Sandi (Mark van Bommel), his grandchildren, Olivia and Aiden, sister, Dyan (Victor Luchko), cousin, Lorna Savak and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Hughie, sister Leona (Wally Chapelsky) and parents, Joseph and Tillie.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Guinand, and his supporting staff at the Pilgrams Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.

In honoring Ken in his style, a private celebration of life will take place on May 27th where family, friends and neighbours may share their stories and memories of Ken and embrace his legacy.
