On March 17, 2021, Leonard “Len” Gerard MacNeil, a caring, loving husband, father, fatherin-law, grandad, brother, and friend, passed away at the age of 71. Throughout his lengthy courageous battle with cancer, Len always revealed his cheerful positive attitude by always facing life’s challenges with a smile. Len was born on March 14, 1950 in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Len. He enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, creating meals and baking banana bread. He loved fishing, riding his Harley, camping and spending evenings surrounded by family and friends enjoying a vicious game of cards while making it clear to everyone, that there is “no friends in cards”. Len was truly known for his good-natured and lighthearted personality that everyone will greatly miss. Len is survived by the love of his life, Carol Ann of 50 years; his children Ian (Kelsey), Michael (Crystal), and Geoff (Natasha); his 4 grandchildren, Cameron, Caden, Cruz and Carson; former daughter-in-law Brianne; siblings Ralph (Bernadette), Robert (Lisa); sister-in-law Katherine Ann; mother-in-law Gertrude Gladney; brotherin-law Randy Gladney (Brenda); sisters-in-law Valerie Bartlett (Terry), Denise Chaisson (Claude), Michelle Gosse (Johnny), Rhonda Rigler (Stan); and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Len was predeceased by his parents, Hector and Mary MacNeil; brother Michael and sister Paula Marie; fatherin-law, Michael Gladney.
