On June 28, 2021, Mr. Clifford Magnusson of Laurier Lake passed away at the age of 89 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elda; 2 daughters, Debbie (David) Smigelski & Faye ( Jeff) Carey; 6 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren. Mr. Magnusson was predeceased by his parents, Ted & Helen Magnusson; daughter, Janet Magnusson; brother, Gene Magnusson; & sister, Shirley Roberts. Upon completion of high school Cliff started working at the Lindbergh Salt Plant. On his father’s advice he applied with the RCMP, which launched his 23 year career, retiring as a staff sergeant. From there he went on to become Town Manager in Vermilion, Alberta. Laurier Lake had always been a special place for the family and after retiring from the town he and Elda made it their permanent residence. He often thanked God for the prosperous life he had. A life, in his own words, that was “good, with no regrets from young to old.” A life filled with wonderful memories of family and friends. He will be greatly missed. As per Cliff’s wishes, no service will be held at this time. Cremation has taken place.
