It is with broken hearts that the family of James “Jim” Vernon Martineau of Bonnyville, AB (a proud band member of Frog Lake First Nation) announces his passing on Thursday, September 28, 2023 in Edmonton at the age of 83 years.

Jim will be forever remembered and loved by his spouse of 22 years: Twila; two daughters: Grace (Gilles), Loretta (Randy); bonus daughter: Kara (Travis); four grandchildren: Lauren,Eric (Shanice), Laina , Kristine (Maxton); two great grandchildren: Jaxson James & Ella Rose; two brothers: Bill (Karen) Martineau, Ron Martineau; two sisters: Muriel Sikorski, Rhonda Weaselhead (Charlie); sister-in-law: Louise Martineau; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Jim was predeceased by his parents: Lawrence & Isabella Martineau; daughter: Mary Cyd (Jerry); brother: Conrad Martineau; sister: Dolores McMillan.

Funeral Service, Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Bonnyville, AB with Father Susai Jesu, o.m.i. & Father Mark Blom o.m.i. officiating.Urnbearers: Jim’s grandchildren. Honorary Urnbearers: Jim’s nieces & nephews. Final Resting Place, St. Dominic Roman Catholic Cemetery.
