On August 9, 2021, Mr. Fred Matwychuk of Spedden, passed
away unexpectedly at the age of 87 years as a result of a motor
vehicle accident. Fred is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen;
3 daughters, Carla Matwychuk, Tanya Matwychuk &
Melissa (Jamie) Vasseur; 6 grandchildren, Maia, Samuel,
Mira, Elias, Poppi & Georgi; 2 sisters, Mary Anderson
& Anne (Cornel) Filipchuk; sister-in-law, Pat (Ron)
Kopala; numerous nieces, nephews & friends. Fred was
predeceased by his first wife, Esther; parents, Alexander &
Irene Matwychuk; 2 brothers, Peter & Johnny. A Prayer
Service will be held on Monday, August 16 at 7:30 p.m.
at Vilna Cultural Centre, Vilna. Funeral Service will be held
on Tuesday, August 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian
Orthodox Church, Spedden. Reverend Father Benny Ambrosie
will be officiating, with interment in the church cemetery.
