On April 17, 2022, Mrs. Madeleine Michaud (nee Dechaine) of St. Paul, formerly of Mallaig passed away at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her 4 sons & 2 daughters, Ronald (Eliane) of Sherwood Park, Maurice (JoLayne) of Two Hills, Marc (Rae) of Mallaig, Normand (Nicole) of Cold Lake, Loriane (Ed) Miller of St. Lina & Rachel (Kenny) Smyl of Mallaig; foster children, John Bisson, Joe Poirier & Jackie Bisson; 20 grandchildren, Jason (Kristin), Daven (Lisa), Adriel (Amy) and children, Carson & Ian, Loren (Sarah) and children, Isle & Leo, Kain (Linda) and children, Mason, Theo & Everly, Samuel (Jennifer) & (*), Nathan (Jyllina) and daughter, Brooklyn; Dorian (Amber), Chelsea (Harlan) and children, Lincoln & Finnegan, Julien (Savannah) and children, Lilliane & Riley, Stephane (Nicole) and son, Dax, Sylvain (Shannon) and daughter, Beverly, Réjean (Julie), Blaine (Renee) and daughter, Olivia, Dylan (Shaunda), Danielle (Travis) and daughter, Jessie & (*), Austin (Shaelyn), Travis (Cara), Garrett; her siblings, Pierre (Louise), Solange (Roland), Leon (Corinne), Joe (Rose), Estelle (Rob), Laurier (Mona), Michel (Colette) & Candide (Randy). Mrs. Michaud was predeceased by her husband, Theodore; parents, Wilfrid & Jeannette Dechaine; siblings, Aurore (Georges), Marcelle (Albert), Paul (Gloria), Guy & John (Judy); foster son, Richard Poirier. A Mass if Christian Burial was held on Saturday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jean de Brebeuf, Mallaig with Reverend Father Raldy Jhack Diaz as the celebrant. Cremation has taken place.
