Linda Anne (Wiens) Peters was suddenly called from this life to her eternal home by her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on April 11, 2023.
Linda was born on November 22, 1950 in McCreary, Manitoba, the oldest child of Henry and Helen Wiens. In 1955, the family moved from Manitoba to Oliver, B.C., where she spent her growing up years on the family orchard. In the fall of 1968, upon completion of high school, she attended Bethel Bible Institute in Abbotsford, B.C.. It was there that she met her husband, Harry Peters. They were married in Oliver on October 9, 1970.
The newlyweds spent the first two years of their marriage in the Yukon before moving to Edmonton. On May 1, 1974 they moved to St. Paul, Alberta and lived in the same house ever since.
Linda had many hobbies and interests. She was an accomplished musician and dedicated piano teacher. She was involved in Les Musicos and the Elk Point Community Choir for many years. She taught hundreds of piano students over the past five decades.
Linda’s love for her Lord was evident her entire life, a legacy that she desired and prayed to see continue on in her children and grandchildren. She was a woman of deep faith and strong character. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Harry; son, Daryll (Lori-Anne) and their children, Lane, Logan, and Landon; son, Vincent (Laura) and their children, River and Reuben; and daughter, Annette (Nathan) Fontaine and their children Alexis, Micah, and Chase. She is also survived by her mother Helen Wiens, her brother, Art (June) Wiens, her sister, Elsa Wiens, brother-in-law, Ron (Edie) Peters, sister-in-law, Joyce (Gary) Deacon,  brother-in-law, John (Wendy) Peters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda was predeceased by her father, Henry Wiens, her father-in-law, Henry Peters, mother-in-law, Sarah Peters,  and sister-in-law, Edna Peters.
The family will host a Celebration of Life for Linda on Thursday April 20, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Elk Point Baptist Church.
