On March 1st, 2022, Mr. Bernard “Bernie” Smyl of St. Paul passed away at the age of 95 years. He is survived by his children, Kathy (Guy) deMoissac, Danny (Louise), Stan (Jennifer), Barb, Harvey (Erin) & Dean (Shauna); son-in-law, Rick Lawson; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Leonard, John, Henry, Mike (Karen), Joe (Maureen) & Eileen Junck; sister-in-law, Joy Pfannmuller; numerous nieces & nephews. Mr. Smyl was predeceased by his wife, Pauline; daughter, Corrine; son-in-law, John Telford; parents, Ignacy & Zofja; 2 brothers, Florian & George. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, March 7 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral, St. Paul. Reverend Father Gerard Gauthier was the celebrant, with interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, St. Paul.
