On June 29, 2021, Mrs. Sophie Stamp of Fishing Lake, passed away
at the age of 75 years. She is survived by her loving husband of
40 years, Bruce; children, Bev Youngchief, B.J. Stamp & Lindsey
(Cory) Stamp; daughter-in-law, SandraYoungchief; 9 grandchildren,
Jesse, Anthony, Carter, Sebastin, Candace, Alyssa, Noah, Dale
& Nadine; 11 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Olivia, Mya, Kayla,
Coleman, Heidi, Elias, Emma, Noah, Brooks & Sophia; sister, Alma
(Albert) Desjarlais; brother, Donald (Sharon) Cross; adopted sons,
Rodney John & Joe Blyan; adopted brothers, Moise Paul & Harvey
Dufresne; adopted sisters, Veronica Waskahat, Flora Gladue, Mabel
Aulotte & Karen Abraham Tremblay; numerous nieces & nephews.
Sophie was predeceased by her son, Leon Youngchief; parents,
Marcel & Mary Louise Cross; grandbaby, Spring Rain Delorme;
sisters, Linda Isbister, Myrtle Cross & Lena Marty; brothers, John,
Eli & Edgar. A Wake was held on Sunday, July 4 at Frog Lake Band
Hall, Frog Lake. Funeral Service was held on Monday, July 5 at
11:00 a.m. at Frog Lake Band Hall, Frog Lake. Pastor Wilfred Cross
along with Yvette Desjarlais officiated, with interment in Fishing
