Ladies and gentlemen of the Lakeland, if you've been paying any attention to the Bonnyville Nouvelle over the summer months, you may have noticed many a story focusing on the three individuals that have put themselves forward for provincial PC party

Dear Editor: I would like to take this opportunity to say "thank you" to the Town of Bonnyville for the lovely flowers this summer. The planters and hanging plants on Main Street have been lovely this season.

Dear Editor, Here's one for you. I was on the southwest side of the Jessie Lake Trail yesterday (Aug. 13). A young girl on her pedal bike brushed up against some stinging nettle overhanging the path. Nasty stuff.

It paints a pretty mental picture – you’re walking along the boardwalk at Lagasse Park, on a calm mid-summer evening. The birds are skimming the water, children are laughing as they play in the spray park and people are walking their dogs.

As the sole driver in our household, I tend to put a lot of miles on my truck. I drive back and forth from home (which is about 20 minutes from town) to St. Paul at least once a day and I sometimes do the trip multiple times in one day.

Hello ladies and gentlemen of Bonnyville! It's been a while since I've sat down and written for you guys, exactly a month in fact, as I spent three weeks towards the end of July and beginning of August half way across the world back in the motherland

I can officially check Minute Maid Park off the list of Major League Baseball (MLB) parks I hope to visit in my lifetime, as I recently took a trip down to Houston to catch the Toronto Blue Jays play the Astros for four games.

Summer is a special time here in the Lakeland, with exciting events almost every weekend for families and friends to check out.

Another August long weekend has come and gone, and the small community of Mallaig is again quiet, after welcoming thousands of guests to the annual Haying in the 30’s site.
