There is no bigger pet peeve of mine than people who are not on time. If two parties agree to a time to go our for lunch, go to a movie or something else, then both of them should and are expected to show up on the agreed upon date.

In October 2017, the Alberta minimum hourly wage increased to $13.60 from $12.20. A year later, in October 2018, Alberta’s New Democrat government has vowed to raise it by another $1.40 to $15 hourly.

Somehow, as of Dec. 29, our family has managed to make it through the Christmas season without a sniffly nose, hardly a cough, and no stomach flus. The gifts have been unwrapped, and enjoyed, and overall it’s been a great holiday.

It’s taken nearly 15 years to happen, but I think I’ve come to the point where I’ve realized that simply being exposed to something on a daily basis has made me unknowingly knowledgeable about a certain topic, and maybe even a bit of a fan.
