Why don't you mention that the party Hoggan brought in to investigate the 3 councillors who wrote this paper, was a partner in the firm representing this paper and has participated in defenses for this paper?
Seems like you are hiding facts and trying repaint a position by failing to disclose!

How come there is no story about say newspapers in Alberta who make written proposals to have people misrepresented in the media? Is Great West denying they have knowledge of such a practice?

So the Newspaper covers this lawsuit, but I have ask the author and paper: do this newspaper have any written proposals they have made to any Municipal Council to have a CAO purposely misrepresented in their paper?

So I got a message today, you edited your editorial to remove the "See story on page X." But didn't address anything else or even note the change. Doesn't that lack transparency from your newsroom?

Wow, this made me laugh for so many reasons ranging from your lack of editing ("see story on page X") to the fact there are historical stories blacked out in your archives.
If your newsroom wants answers with transparency, why not say if you have ever made deals with any elected municipal officials to misquote/misrepresent a CAO?

Where does this article mention/warn the risk of someone consuming "weed" (a drug) to mix with what they call "relaxation and arousal" to something that could cause transmission of a sexual disease and/or pregnancy.
If you buy tobacco it says, warning this might give you cancer: but here we have a newspaper passing this off as an article something that is product advertisement.
So if any STD/pregnancy occurs by a reader without such a warning: will this "paper" provide remedy?

Att: Jordan Stricker
You wrote: "RVW is a member of the National Media Council, which adjudicates complaints about its news coverage. The newspaper is also subject to Canadian libel and defamation law." and then quote the word "propaganda."
That raises questions. So please, as a reporter Jordan Stricker, can you answer each:
a) Has RVW (or its other names) ever threatened to use a legal demand for someone to deposit large amounts of money with the courts to stop an complaints under defamation law? Especially if they believed another party could not afford to do so?
AND
b) Has any agent of the RVW (or its other names) ever made a written proposal to elected officials to misrepresent a government official?
AND
c) Has RVW (or names) ever received a court order to stop publication or distribution of an article after say, i don't know: googling fake items and attributing them to government officials.
These are merely questions, but I believe they should be answered in public.

I am curious, why is it this story made the paper but when they vindicated it is not reported in this paper (like say https://www.discoverairdrie.com/local/sanctioned-rvc-councillors-feel-vindicated-by-court-ruling), yet in this paper we merely an opinion (letter to editor) on concerns of RV Council halting advertising?
Also where in this article do you disclose that the lawyer named above that sanctioned the councillors is a partner for the firm the represents Great West Newspaper Group (as per https://www.rmrf.com/people/kozak-qc/) which is the parent of this newspaper? (as per https://www.greatwest.ca/publications/rocky-view-weekly/)
Is AirdrieToday trying to manufacture the news?

Wow, what a comedy. No, not RVC, but this paper! How much of the RVC is created artificially by this paper? You cover issues of three councillors coming to paper regarding the Reeve hiring a CAO without proper authority, then the county investigates the councillors with a lawyer: but did you report that the lawyer the county appointed is also the LAWYER for this paper?
Of course not. but hey you did make a proposal in writing to misrepresent one CAO in the past, how many other government officials have subjected the public to this create-the-newspapers wanted stories.
Regards!
