Richard Edward Benson entered guilty pleas to one count of criminal negligence causing death and two counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm at the St. Paul Court of Queen’s Bench last Wednesday morning, relating to the October crash at Racette Junior High School.

In the morning of Oct. 25, 2012, a van was driven through a window and into a lower-level classroom at Racette Junior High School, leading to the death of 11-year-old Megan Wolitski and the serious injuries of two of her Grade 6 classmates.

A sentencing date has been set for Nov. 14 at 9 a.m. at the St. Paul Court of Queen’s Bench.
