ST. PAUL – Tobogganing, fishing, skating, curling, skijoring, and shinny hockey are just some of the fun activities the annual 2024 St. Paul Shiver Fest promises to offer families in the community.

Most events are free to attend, while others do have a small cost, such as the $2 pancake dinner at the St. Paul Rec Centre on Feb. 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., $3 bowling at Parallel Lanes on Feb. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and $3 public swimming throughout the Family Day weekend.

Shiver Fest, hosted by the St. Paul Regional FCSS, will run from Feb. 15 to 19.

Lynn Smid, director of the FCSS, says every year they try to do something different for Shiver Fest.

This year, there will be a Family Fun Night on Feb. 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Rec Centre. “We’ll be doing pancakes, then there will be games, activities, and bouncy houses... for families to enjoy,” she said. “We’re inviting families to come out with their kids.”
