After going missing at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 18 in St. Paul, Liam, a Common Marmoset monkey was found in Elk Point.

Debby Hunter, the owner of the exotic pet, said she isn't sure how Liam ended up in Elk Point, possibly hitching a ride on a vehicle, but she was happy to confirm he was found safe, Monday evening.

Liam went missing near Tim Hortons Monday morning. Residents were being asked to watch for the small animal, who only stands about six inches tall.

Hunter took to social media in an effort to find Liam, shortly after he went missing, with word spreading quickly that a monkey had gone missing in St. Paul.
