Positive COVID case at Glen Avon School

The St. Paul region has 33 active cases of the virus, as of Thursday.

ST. PAUL - An individual at Glen Avon School, located in St. Paul, has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a letter released Thursday afternoon.

Any close contacts have already been notified. If parents or guardians didn't hear from the school, then their children were not impacted by the case and no isolation is required.

If parents/guardians have questions, they can contact St. Paul Education Superintendent Glen Brodziak.

The St. Paul region currently has 33 active cases of COVID-19.

On Thursday, the province announced targeted measures will be applied to regions with increased active cases of the virus. No regions in the Lakeland fall under those enhanced measures. 

Regions that will see enhanced measures include: 

  • Fort McMurray
  • City of Red Deer
  • City of Grande Prairie
  • City of Calgary
  • City of Airdrie
  • Strathcona County
  • City of Lethbridge
  • City of Edmonton
