On Apr. 11, Saddle Lake RCMP received information on drug trafficking in the Saddle Lake area. Following a month-long investigation, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Saddle Lake on May 8. The search resulted in the seizure of drugs, paraphernalia, and ammunition.
One male was arrested on outstanding warrants and charged with multiple new offences. Brandon Carlos Favel, 28, of Saddle Lake has been charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, methamphetamine (crystal meth) and opioids. He also faces weapons possession contrary to order and failing to comply with release order conditions.
Favel was held for a judicial hearing and remanded into custody.
