Two people are now facing several charges after RCMP executed a search warrant on Aug. 24 in Saddle Lake.
SADDLE LAKE - Nearly $50,000 worth of drugs have been seized by RCMP following a search warrant in Saddle Lake on Aug. 24.
Saddle Lake RCMP alongside the RCMP Emergency Response Team, RCMP Police Dog Services, and the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, executed the search warrant at a residence in Saddle Lake, according to information from RCMP.
"Members were able to locate two prohibited firearms, 209 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and 450 grams of suspected cocaine," reads the information. "There is an approximate combined street value of $48,000 associated with the drugs seized during the search. Two males were arrested and charged."
Jacob Anthony Cardinal, 19, a resident of Edmonton, is facing several charges, including trafficking, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, and more.
Following a judicial interim release hearing, Cardinal was remanded into custody.
Jaffar Sadiq Oswald Dickson, 34, also a resident of Edmonton, is also facing several charges for trafficking, unsafe storage of firearms, and more.
