St. Paul Canadiens win pre-season match against Rangers

The regular NEAJBHL season will start on Friday, with the Canadiens playing their first two games in Vegreville and Lloydminster.

ST. PAUL - The St. Paul Jr. B Canadiens have been busy gearing up for the upcoming season, playing against the Cold Lake ice and Vegreville Rangers in the pre-season. On Sept. 23, the St. Paul Canadiens defeated the Vegreville Rangers 8-1 on home ice at the Clancy Richard Arena. 

According to the North Eastern Alberta Junior B Hockey League (NEAJBHL) schedule, the Canadiens will play their first regular season game against the Rangers on Sept. 29 in Vegreville. The Canadiens will then head to Lloydminster for a game on Sept. 30. 

The Canadiens will host their first regular home game of the season on Oct. 7 against the Onion Lake Border Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. The Canadiens will play at home on Oct. 8 also, taking on the Vermilion Tigers at 5:30 p.m. 

Eight teams make up this year’s NEAJBHL, including the St. Paul Canadiens, Cold Lake Ice, Killam Wheat Kings, Lloydminster Bandits, Vermilion Tigers, Wainwright Bisons, Onion Lake Border Chiefs, and Vegreville Rangers.
