St. Paul Lions fall to Holy Rosary Raiders

The St. Paul Lions took on the number one 3A football team in the province on Friday night.

ST. PAUL - Wheatland Football League action came to St. Paul on Sept. 27 as the St. Paul Lions took on the Holy Rosary Raiders from Lloydminster. Holy Rosary came out strong, scoring early in the game, and often. But St. Paul managed to get on the scoreboard late in the game.

The final score was 55-7 for the Raiders, who are ranked number one provincially, in the 3A category. The Raiders currently have a 6-0 record. The St. Paul Lions now have a 4-1 record for the season, according to updated standings from Football Alberta. 

Elsewhere in the league, the Bonnyville Voyageurs took on the Cold Lake Royals on Friday night in Cold Lake. The home team would win by a score of 21-14.
