ST. PAUL - Glen Missal is St. Paul’s latest lottery winner - and the first person he called when he found out he had won was his mom.

Missal won a $100,000 prize on POKER LOTTO’s May 9 nightly draw, according to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.

When purchasing the ticket, Missal says, “The [retailer] said it was a big winner, but we had no clue just how much,” he says. I called and told my mom, who was pretty speechless when I told her the news.”

Missal says he usually stays pretty calm, but this win had him feeling very excite.

“It’s going right to the bank for my retirement,” he said. “It feels really good.”

Missal purchased his winning ticket at Circle K in St. Paul.

He won the prize by matching all five cards drawn on the May 9 nightly draw — 10 of spades, 4 of clubs, 6 of diamonds, 7 of diamonds, and 8 of diamonds.
