ST. PAUL – The St. Paul Municipal Library hosted its first Teen Market on June 12, showcasing products from young entrepreneurs in the community.
The idea behind the initiative is to provide teen artisans with business experience, like budgeting and marketing, in a more casual environment, says Monique Poulin, program coordinator at the library.
"It's just a way to help them use their passion and learn some business skills early on so that they can become successful adults," she says. "These are the entrepreneurs of the future. These are the kids who are going to bring and create new things for us in the future."
