Three charged following Halloween pursuit with police

A Halloween pursuit that began in the Bonnyville RCMP area ended just east of St. Paul and resulted in three people being arrested.

ST. PAUL - A Halloween pursuit that began in the Bonnyville RCMP area ended just east of St. Paul and resulted in three people being arrested. 

On Oct. 31, St. Paul RCMP helped Bonnyville RCMP with a pursuit as it entered the St. Paul area.  

"St. Paul members were able to successfully use a tire deflation device on the suspect vehicle, which became disabled, causing the driver and passengers to flee on foot near RR91 and Hwy 29, just east of St. Paul,” according to information from police.  

Two of the suspects were arrested a short time later, following a brief foot chase.   

“The third suspect was arrested several hours later after a concerned citizen called advising a suspicious person was observed in their yard,” according to RCMP.  

St. Paul RCMP arrested the third female suspect without further incident. 

Kannan Desjarlais, 26, of Cold Lake was charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited and resisting arrest. 

Jaylin Favel, 20, of Cold Lake was charged with resisting arrest and failing to comply with a release order. 

Michelle Watchmaker, 31, was charged with resisting arrest.
