Woman stabbed several times

In the early morning hours of May 8, a St. Paul RCMP officer patrolling in the town came upon a woman who had been stabbed several times.

ST. PAUL - In the early morning hours of May 8, a St. Paul RCMP officer patrolling in the town came upon a woman who had been stabbed several times.

"The suspect has been identified and an investigation is underway. No charges have been laid at this point," according to RCMP, Monday morning.

In a further update from RCMP, it stated injuries were minor and the victim was treated and released. Charges were also laid.

Kiyana Hunter, 23, was charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. She was released from custody after a judicial interim released hearing with a court date set for June 29.

Arson investigation

On May 3, RCMP responded to assist with an arson Investigation relating to a structure and grass fire in the area of Hwy 867 and Township road 604.

RCMP are requesting anyone with information to contact the St. Paul RCMP.
