Area man facing multiple charges after arrest in Beaver Lake

In court this week, police say an area man is facing more than 35 charges stemming from eight warrants for his arrest.

BEAVER LAKE - A 25-year-old man, wanted on eight arrest warrants for 19 outstanding charges is facing 17 additional charges after his recent arrest by Lac La Biche RCMP.

The arrest was made at a residence on the Beaver Lake Cree Nation on the afternoon of Dec. 9. RCMP say a search of the property after the arrest resulted in the seizure of firearms an ammunition.

Tristan Bradley Campbell made his first court appearance in Lac La Biche Provincial Court on Dec. 13, where his matters were put over to a court date this coming week.

Campbell is charged with a number of offences, including possessing weapons for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited weapon with ammunition without a license, possession of a firearm in a vehicle and several failing to appear charges.

Campbell has been remanded in custody since his arrest.
