RCMP arrest four following attempted vehicle stop in April

On April 20, while St. Paul RCMP members were conducting patrols in Saddle Lake, police attempted to conduct a vehicle stop on a stolen truck. 
The vehicle fled, but quickly became stuck in a washed out road. All four occupants of the vehicle were arrested and found to be in possession of a sawed-off shotgun and military style semi-automatic rifle. A substance believed to be methamphetamine, as well as ammunition and other weapons were also seized.
Three residents of Saddle Lake and one Goodfish Lake resident have been charged with several Criminal Code offences, including:
·         Trafficking a Controlled Substance
·         Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
·         Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
·         Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Firearm/ Device
·         Flight from Police
·         Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
The four individuals each have May 10 court dates for election and plea in St. Paul.
As these matters are now before the courts, no further details are available.
