The Alberta Government has announced the redesignation of Muriel Lake Provincial Recreation Area (PRA). This decision signifies the end of its management under the Provincial Parks Act, with the site now set to be governed under the Public Lands Act.

Cadrin says he feels honoured to be recognized. The recognition also puts into perspective how long he has been playing the sport he loves. 

On Feb. 16 at 2 p.m., Bonnyville RCMP were alerted that an RCMP bait truck had just been stolen in Bonnyville. 

On Feb. 18, the Bonnyville Oilmen's Society held its annual Family Fun Day at the Vezeau Beach Park. Over 300 people attended the event.

"We have to educate landowners and attempt to get them to look at mitigation strategies on their own."

The first part of February was a “particularly dangerous” stretch for Bonnyville RCMP. According to Staff Sgt. Sarah Parke, members were involved in several high-risk incidents during the week of Feb. 9 to 16.

This year's men's and ladies' bonspiel hosted by the Bonnyville Curling Club drew in 16 men's teams and nine ladies' teams to the rink.
