Arrest made following series of business break-ins

A 36-year-old Bonnyville resident remains in custody in relation to five break and enters that occurred at businesses in the Town of Bonnyville.

BONNYVILLE – A 36-year-old man remains in custody after being charged with a series of break and enters that occurred in the Town of Bonnyville from Oct. 18-31. 

Over a two-week stretch, Bonnyville RCMP responded to five break and enters at businesses in the downtown core of Bonnyville. 

“Police quickly identified, arrested and charged a suspect, who was believed to have acted alone in the break-ins,” stated information provided by RCMP. 

Bonnyville RCMP allegedly recovered stolen property and laid charges against Bonnyville resident Christopher Lepine. He was charged with three counts of break and enter, theft Under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of break in tools. 

Lepine was additionally charged with mischief to property and four counts of failing to comply with a release order. 

Lepine remains in custody, states RCMP.
