Bonnyville GIS lay trafficking charges from search warrant on local motel room

BONNYVILLE - A pair from Kehewin and an Elk Point resident have been charged after the Bonnyville RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) executed a search warrant on a Bonnyville motel room.

With the assistance of Bonnyville RCMP Detachment members and the Eastern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit, the search warrant was executed on June 2 resulting in the seizure of over 46 grams of methamphetamine, along with more than $800 in Canadian currency and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

Tess Lenore Jenkins, 38 of Elk Point, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime. Jenkins was released by a justice of the peace to appear in Bonnyville court on July 21.

Connie Ernestine Watchmaker, 46, and Wilson John Watchmaker, 63, both from Kehewin, are each charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine. They were both released and are set to appear in Bonnyville Provincial Court on Aug. 25.
