Bonnyville pair arrested in Fort Saskatchewan for trafficking

BONNYVILLE - A pair from Bonnyville were arrested by Fort Saskatchewan RCMP after officers found drugs during a traffic stop.

On May 14, while conducting proactive patrols throughout the community, RCMP saw a vehicle that was unable to maintain the centre of its driving lane and conducted a traffic stop.

After the traffic stop, the members started a drug investigation, arresting the female passenger and male driver, who was found to be violating his parole.

During their search, RCMP seized 50 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, paraphernalia, and cash.

Stacey Moosepayo, 37 of Bonnyville, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. Moosepayo was remanded into custody following a judicial hearing and is set to appear in Fort Saskatchewan Provincial Court on June 11.

Marjorie Nicholls, 36 of Bonnyville, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and failing to comply with a release order. Nicholls was released on cash bail and conditions set by a Justice of the Peace. She will appear in Fort Saskatchewan court on July 30.
