BONNYVILLE – The Town of Bonnyville will become a bargain hunter’s dream during the second weekend of June. The first ever Town-Wide Garage Sale will run from June 9 to 11.

Residents, businesses and charities are encouraged to take part and give items a second life.

“A town-wide garage sale is a great initiative for bringing the community together and drawing visitors into town from the surrounding community,” said Town of Bonnyville Mayor Elisa Brosseau.

The Town will be coordinating a map that outlines where each garage sale, yard sale, and sidewalk sale is located. The map will also be the perfect tool for anyone hunting for new treasures.

Garage sale signs will be available at Town Hall on May 29. However, signs are not required to participate in the community event.

Signs will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis as there’s a limited supply, according to information provided by the Town.

“I’d love to see the public get out, visit their neighbours, and find a treasure or two to bring home,” said the mayor.

The Town of Bonnyville will also be joining in on the festivities. The municipality will be selling its surplus computer equipment at Town Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 9.

Those wanting to participate can sign up online or register in-person at Town Hall (4917-49 Ave).
