BONNYVILLE – The Bonnyville RCMP are investigating after receiving a report about a hit and run.

On April 19, a complainant told officers that an unknown vehicle struck his attached garage on the 44 block of Lakeshore Drive and caused considerable damage.

If anyone has any information, they’re urged to contact the Bonnyville RCMP at 780-343-7200.

Winch theft under investigation

The local detachment is looking for information regarding the theft of a winch that was reported on April 18.

“A complainant on 48th Ave. in Bonnyville reports the theft of an 8,000-lb capacity winch, which was last seen approximately two weeks ago,” said Bonnyville RCMP Sgt. Kim Hillier.

Dirt bike stolen

A 1990 Yamaha TTR100 dirt bike was stolen from a property on Hwy. 659 near Rge. Rd. 453.

According to Hillier, the complainant called on April 21 saying the theft likely occurred sometime overnight or early in the morning.

Any information regarding this theft can be directed to the Bonnyville RCMP.

Thieves gas up before taking off

Thieves planned ahead before stealing a 2014 Blue Arctic Cat 550 CC quad from a 34th Street home overnight on April 22.

“The suspects appeared to have filled the vehicle with gas before taking it,” Hillier said.

The theft is still under investigation
