BONNYVILLE - A 33-year-old Bonnyville man was arrested after threatening customers in the parking lot of a local business.
Bonnyville RCMP received a call just after 3 p.m. on April 3 about an aggressive male who was physically threatening others in a parking lot. He was believed to be armed and on drugs.
Officers located and arrested the man.
He was charged with mischief and released on an undertaking to appear in court on July 7.
Rental property trespasser charged
On April 6, local RCMP were contacted about a trespasser who appeared to be living in a shed at a rental property in Bonnyville.
A member attended and found a 32-year-old woman from the Cold Lake area. She was arrested and charged for multiple offences, including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The woman was released on an undertaking. She is scheduled to appear in court on June 23.
Intoxicated quad driver
A 25-year-old Kehewin man was arrested for driving a quad while intoxicated after a member of the public called in to report him.
After receiving the call on April 3 around 10 p.m., officers conducted patrols and located the male who was found to be driving while intoxicated and prohibited.
He was arrested for driving while prohibited, without registration or insurance, and mischief, and later released on documents to appear in court.
Officer has close call with drunk driver
An RCMP member was on patrol on Hwy. 28 when an intoxicated driver veered towards the officer's police vehicle.
Around 10:30 a.m. on May 6, while passing Twp. Rd. 610 on Hwy. 28 the member saw a red pickup truck veer off his land and head towards him. The member applied his horn to alert the driver, who turned back into his lane and stopped on the side of the road.
The driver, a 51-year-old Smoky Lake man, blew a fail and was also found to be suspended from driving. He was charged and released for court.
Stolen quad
A complainant called the local detachment on April 4 to report her quad had been stolen from her family's cabin on Range Rd. 451 near Twp. Rd. 644.
The quad is a red 2007 Honda 500.
Theft from CNRL lease site
Cattle fence panels were found to be missing from CNRL's Manatokan lease sites on April 30.
