BONNYVILLE RCMP REPORT: RCMP make an arrest following assault with bear spray

Bonnyville RCMP arrested a 31-year-old Bonnyville man in relation to an assault using bear spray.
RCMP REPORT

BONNYVILLE - Local RCMP responded to an assault involving bear spray resulting in the victim being transported for medical attention.

On April 27, Bonnyville officers were called after someone was assaulted using bear spray.

Following some investigation, officers located and arrested a 31-year-old suspect.

The Bonnyville man was charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 3.

Theft from oilfield site

A Helix Oilfield yard site was entered by a lone suspect on April 24.

Two motocross helmets and goggles, in addition to a small air compressor were stolen.

RCMP are investigating the theft and are asking the public for any information.

Vehicles rummaged through in town

Police received a complaint that someone had broken into their yard and some vehicles had been rummaged through on 54 Ave. near 58 St.

According to RCMP it appears nothing of value was taken and the vehicles were empty at the time of the April 25 incident.

Anyone with information can contact the local police detachment.

Timberwolf Environmental victim of theft

A break and enter and theft of equipment were reported to RCMP on April 28.

Timberwolf Environmental had a generator, herbicide spray unit, two-way radios, a GPS unit, and keys, in addition to gas being siphoned from vehicles, stolen from their yard on Range Rd. 453.

The fence was damaged and police are investigating the incident.
