Bonnyville teen catches the eye of Canadian magazine

BONNYVILLE - Local teen Faith Noble caught the eye and lens of Canadian publication Teen Look Magazine.

At just 11-years-old, the Dr. Bernard Brosseau School student has already ticked one item off of her bucketlist: being featured on the cover of Edmonton-based magazine Teen Look.

Even though it's early in her modelling career, Noble will be pictured on the publication's March cover, after submitting her photos to their contest.

Noble's mother, Crystal, came across the contest while looking for modelling opportunities for her daughter, who was published in CAN Kids Magazine two months ago.

“When she heard about the contest she sent in some photos of me and I ended up winning,” described Noble.

After receiving the news she would be gracing the cover of Teen Look, Noble was excited and thrilled.

She was invited to Edmonton to meet with a photographer for the big photo shoot.

According to Noble, they travelled by train throughout the city stopping at various locations to snap pictures.

“At first when I got there I was quite nervous, but I got comfortable with the people and it ended up being a lot of fun at the end of the day,” she detailed, adding it was an experience she hopes to come across again.

Noble didn't start modelling until last fall, when her dance studio incorporated a modelling and acting program.

"My mom started looking to see if there were any magazines or fashion shows I could be a part of, because that was something I really enjoyed,” noted Noble.

She loves seeing how the photos turn out in the end, and had always found herself drawn to Teen Look Magazine because of what they've published in the past.

In addition to modelling, Noble spends her time dancing, horseback riding, and participating in track and field.

When asked why she would encourage other youth to take the leap if modelling is something they're interested in, Noble said, “I feel like anyone has a chance. You never know what they’re looking for or what they want for their cover picture or magazine. If you never try it, you’ll never have a chance of making it.”
