Franchere Fall Fair marks 10 years of fun

The corn maze was the tallest ever, the lineups were long for everything from the bouncy train and ball toss to the bowling and balloon darts and the silent auction boasted a whopping 63 items at this year's Franchere Fall Fair.

FRANCHERE - The corn maze was the tallest ever, the lineups were long for everything from the bouncy train and ball toss to the bowling and balloon darts and the silent auction boasted a whopping 63 items included a party-sized poppyseed cake with peanut butter icing that already had a $150 bid by 4 p.m. at the 10th Annual Franchere Fall Fair.

Visitors also had an opportunity to take part in a cakewalk, enjoy their favourite coffee and homemade pumpkin pie, get a glitter tattoo, pet ducks and baby goats, shoot BBs at targets, race cars powered by water pistols and even try their skill with a crosscut saw in the redneck relay.

The community may be small, but the volunteer commitment is tremendous and the huge crowd was well entertained.
