The 2024 Elk Point Allied Arts Christmas Dinner Theatre production of ‘Not a Creature Was Stirring, Not Even a Moose’ set a new attendance record, with “Ticket sales exceeding 1,000,” according to director Don Conrad.

Elk Point Chamber of Commerce and EDC kicked off the festive season with Christmas Extravaganza on Nov. 29.

ELK POINT – Service disruptions at the Elk Point Healthcare Centre’s Emergency Department are expected this week, according to news from Alberta Health Services, with 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. closures on Dec. 5 to 6 and Dec.

Recent dangerous dog incidents that left the community reeling and so far have resulted in one dog being euthanized and the Town of Elk Point going through the courts to have a second dog put down have led council to consider the overhaul of Animal Control Bylaw 871/23.

On Nov. 29, the Elks will welcome the Marwayne Comets at 8 p.m. to wrap up Elk Point’s Christmas Extravaganza.
