BONNYVILLE – A Bonnyville man has been arrested and charged after reportedly colliding with a parked SUV while under the influence of drugs.
Just before 1 a.m. on Nov. 4, Bonnyville RCMP were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on 47th Avenue at 49 Street.
According to police, the investigation allegedly revealed that the driver of a minivan was impaired by drugs and fell asleep at the wheel before crashing into a parked SUV.
The 50-year-old male driver of the minivan was arrested and charged with Provincial Sanctions for impaired driving and his minivan was seized.
Between Nov. 3-10, the Bonnyville RCMP were involved in 188 investigations.
