Corey Leigh Roberts, the man accused of uttering threats to campers at the Minnie Lake campground, has pleaded not guilty.
The 44-year-old male, who was charged with two counts of mischief, uttering threats, assault of a peace officer, and obstructing a peace officer, had his lawyer Hart Spencer appear in the Bonnyville Provincial Court on his behalf on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges and scheduled a trial for June 30, 2020 where he will dispute the facts of what took place on June 29, 2019.
According to RCMP, Roberts was taken into custody after police were asked to respond to the MD of Bonnyville's Minnie Lake Campground where there were reports of a male who was intoxicated and threatening other campers.
Police said during the arrest, Roberts kicked an MD peace officer in the face, and threatened to kill one of the other camper's dogs.
