Man injured by bear spray in Bonnyville grocery parking lot

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a St. Paul man wanted in connection to an assault that took place in the parking lot of a Bonnyville grocery store on Feb. 10.

BONNYVILLE – Police are looking for a St. Paul man wanted in connection to an assault that took place in the parking lot of a Bonnyville grocery store on Feb. 10. 

At 7 p.m. on the Friday evening, an altercation took place between two men in a grocery store parking lot, resulting in one man spraying bear spray in the face of another man, according to RCMP.  

EMS was called to assist and transport the victim to hospital for treatment.   

An arrest warrant has since been obtained for 20-year-old Arley Frenchman of St. Paul. 

Frenchman is facing charges of assault with a weapon. Anyone with knowledge of Frenchman’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Bonnyville RCMP.
