A resident who was on conditions not to possess any animals was charged with taking his neighbour's dog.
Bonnyville RCMP were called about a neighbourly dispute on Aug. 5 at roughly 8:45 a.m.
William Terry, a 55-year-old Bonnyville man, was charged with theft under $5,000 after his neighbour reported he had taken his neighbour's dog overnight and refused to give it back.
According to Sgt. Kim Hillier, when the pet owner attempted to retrieve the animal, the accused refused to return the pet.
Terry was arrested after officers found the dog, known as Boots to his owner, in his possession.
Police also found a cat in Terry's residence contrary to a previous condition that he not possess any animals.
The cat was turned over the the SPCA.
Terry was released and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 24.
Male known to RCMP breaches his conditions
The 7-Eleven in Bonnyville called police regarding 32-year-old Kyle Nadeau.
On Aug. 5, the local store reported Nadeau was outside of the store wearing a mask and dancing.
Video footage shows Nadeau scaring customers.
Due to a previous incident, Nadeau is under conditions not to attend 7-Eleven.
He has been arrested for breaching those conditions.
Collision delays traffic
A multi-vehicle collision slowed down traffic at around 3 p.m. on Thursday.
RCMP responded to a collision on Aug. 8 at around 3 p.m. west of town.
Hillier said charges are pending as a result of the multi-vehicle collision on Hwy. 28 where no injuries were sustained.
Traffic was delayed and detoured while emergency crews cleared up the scene.
