BONNYVILLE - RCMP were able to recover a stolen truck after receiving information as to its location on Highway 41, south of Bonnyville on July 3.

The vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day and members of the Bonnyville RCMP, St. Paul / Vermilion Traffic Services and Eastern Alberta District Police Dog Services converged on the truck near a residence in Kehewin, according to an RCMP media release.

All four occupants were spoken to and the driver, 38-year-old Peter Trottier of Frog Lake, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property over $5.000 and driving while prohibited. He was brought before a Justice of the Peace who released him during the bail hearing. Trottier is set to appear in court on July 22.
