BONNYVILLE – Two men have been remanded into custody after allegedly assaulting and robbing a patron of a local hotel.
Bonnyville RCMP members were called to attend a local hotel where a man was reported to have been assaulted and robbed around 7:30 p.m. on July 20.
While the suspects had already fled the scene with the victim’s suitcase of belongings by the time police arrived on scene, officers were able to determine the suspects identities.
Both suspects were located a short while later walking in town, according to RCMP.
A 45-year-old man from Kehewin is being charged with robbery and a 41-year-old man from Bonnyville is being charged with robbery and failing to comply with a court condition.
Both men are in custody and were awaiting bail hearings at the time of this publication.
