BONNYVILLE - A three-vehicle collision saw a portion of roadway closed overnight on Nov. 27. While injuries were reported - and one of the drivers was sent to an Edmonton-area hospital - the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

On Monday night at 9:11 p.m., Bonnyville RCMP responded to a collision on Highway 660, near Range Road 455.

"Upon investigation, it was determined a pick-up truck travelling north on Range Road 455 had failed to proceed safely into the intersection after stopping, and collided into an on coming tanker truck. The collision also caused another semi truck to lose control and jackknife into the ditch," according to information from RCMP, released on Tuesday afternoon.

An investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.

"Although early, alcohol is believed to be a factor and both Provincial and Criminal charges are pending," according to police.
