Glendon hosted its 20th Annual Pyrogy Festival Sept. 3, showcasing Ukrainian culture and cuisine with music, perogy-eating contests, and of course, a whole lot of perogies! The Nouvelle's Brandon MacLeod put up a good show in the media class of the perogy-eating contest, but was unable to compete with the sheer eating power of Travis Currah, two-time perogy-eating champion, who inhaled 12 perogies in 26 seconds to take the competition.
