Court Report
Court-Report-4-702x506

BONNYVILLE - Cheyenne Harper was sentenced to pay $500 in fines after a foot pursuit with police.

On May 30, 2018, Bonnyville RCMP tried to conduct a traffic stop on a suspected stolen vehicle along Lakeshore Dr. in town when the vehicle fled heading southbound.

Police found the vehicle abandoned and followed footprints that led into the bush and to two females walking on the road.

One of the suspects was arrested without incident, but Harper attempted to flee police on-foot.

She was caught and arrested.

During her appearance in Bonnyville court on Feb. 25, Harper pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and failing to attend court.

She was sentenced by Honourable Judge Cheryl Arcand-Kootenay to pay $500 in fines, noting the accused's criminal record is "starting to become fairly lengthy... and unless you make different choices, it will likely become longer and longer."
