While gathering to celebrate Métis Week in the province, citizens of the Métis Nation of Alberta had the opportunity to cast a ballot on the ratification of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government Constitution.

In just three games, the Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs accumulated 16 goals. The Bonnyville team now sit in third place in the AJHL's North Division.

On Nov. 26, LSAA’s three Wards will come together to compete in the District Volleyball Championships for Grades 7-9 at two Bonnyville locations. Bonnyville teams qualifying for Districts include Dr. Brosseau and École des Beaux-Lacs girls teams, as well as Iron River and Dr. Brosseau boys teams.

There will be a temporary reduction to obstetrical services at the Bonnyville Healthcare Centre overnight tonight, Nov. 17, beginning at 11 p.m. Covenant Health made the announcement two hours prior to the service reduction taking effect.

Based on papers currently filed with the United Conservative Party, there are three candidates running to be the Bonnyville-Cold Lake-St. Paul UCP nominee for the next provincial election. Those running include current MLA David Hanson, former MLA Scott Cyr and former MD of Bonnyville Reeve Greg Sawchuk.

Throughout the day on Nov. 12 and 13, residents flowed in and out of the Ardmore Community Hall to take in the Holiday Craft Sale and pick up the perfect gifts for everyone on their Christmas lists.

Lakeland Catholic School Division recognized staff both entering the profession of teaching and those who have served the division for many years. A ceremony held on Nov. 1 included heartfelt goodbyes to five staff members transitioning into retirement.

The end of November promises to deliver a huge plate of holiday spirit in the Town of Bonnyville. Dates for the Bonnyville Santa Claus Parade, Festival of Trees, and second annual Chamber Christmas Craft Show and Expo have all been set to take place Nov. 26 and 27.

Council members from the Town and MD of Bonnyville are brainstorming ways to make drivers slow down when passing emergency vehicles on highways. Investing in public education was suggested as one way to keep first responders safe while working on area roads.

The Notre Dame Wildcats' girls volleyball teams have been crushing their competition on the courts during the 2022 season. Over the weekend, the Wildcats' senior girls team won their sixth gold regular season tournament gold medal, while the Wildcats' Grade 10 junior team earned the LSAA District championship banner on Tuesday.
