False alarms are continuing to be a growing problem for the Bonnyville RCMP.

The Alberta Minister of Justice heard first-hand the issues municipalities are facing in the Lakeland, after local dignitaries travelled to Edmonton and knocked on her door.

A man known to local RCMP was arrested and charged over the weekend. On March 16, an employee of an oilfield company recognized their stolen truck on the road. Officers followed up on the report and located the vehicle.

The Bonnyville Bantam 1 Pontiacs may have been the underdogs, but in the end, they came out on top. On Friday, March 9, the tier two team won the title of league champions, bringing home the bantam banner.
