Although the weather didn't quite co-operate for Sunday's leg of Ardmore Extreme 2010, organizers say the rain didn't slow anybody down during the Aug. 27-29 event.

The first annual Bike Night was held at the Cold Lake A&W on Aug. 26 and by all accounts the night was an incredible success.

A young woman originally from Bonnyville returned home this summer with an accomplishment she's eager to share.

The first family friendly music festival found its way to Cold Lake last Thursday. The Sonshine Music Festival provided fans with a place to sit, eat and enjoy the music. However, many in the crowd stayed standing the whole time.

MD of Bonnyville council held a public hearing on Aug. 25 to hear concerns about developments in the area. Around 25 people attended the hearing, expressing concerns and offering suggestions to developers and council.

MD of Bonnyville council plans to hold an open house Sept. 14 at Sandy Rapids Community Hall after receiving a petition with 114 names on it to stop the use of calcium chloride as a dust control agent on Wolf Lake Road.

Bonnyville Town council plans to seek mediation with the City of Cold Lake and the Cold Lake Regional Utilities Commission in an attempt to secure the municipality's long-term water supply.

They came, they pinned the pedal to the metal, and now they're gone, but not before raising tens of thousands of dollars for charity. Dream Wheels Weekend went off without a hitch, according to organizers.
